Trump Is Sending Fundraising Emails, Refusing To Concede

Since election night, President Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again Committee has been sending out fundraising emails to supporters asking them to donate to the Official Election Defense Fund. According to CNN, his team has sent out nearly 150 emails.

According to Yahoo, John Oliver managed to get ahold of an email that the Trump committee was sending out, which read: “This is your FINAL NOTICE. So far, you’ve ignored all our emails asking you to join us in DEFENDING THE ELECTION. You’ve ignored team Trump, Eric, Lara, Don, the Vice President, AND you’ve ignored the President of the United States.”

Apparently, half of the money raised will go towards paying off campaign debt.

Trump says that the election was a fraud on the American people and plans to contest the election results. President-elect Joe Biden feels that Trump’s actions won’t impede the transition and that legal action is unnecessary.

“We’re just going to proceed the way we have. We’re going to be doing exactly what we’d be doing if he’d conceded and said we won — which we have. So there’s nothing really changing,” Biden said.

Trump has not acknowledged Biden’s win in the 2020 Presidential election.

“I just think it’s an embarrassment, quite frankly,” said Biden. “I say this tactfully: I think it will not help the President’s legacy.”

“The fact that they’re not willing to acknowledge that we won at this point is not of much consequence in our planning and what we’re able to do between now and Jan. 20,” Biden expressed.
